There’s a lot of great reasons to launch a nursing career in Iowa. For one, the cost of living is among the lowest in the nation, meaning your paycheck as a nurse will go farther here than most other states. Secondly, Iowa has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the nation—6.9 percent in April 2010 compared to a national jobless rate hovering close to 10 percent.
