As one of the original thirteen states founded when the United States of America came into being after the territory officially cut ties from Great Britain, New Hampshire is rich in American history and culture. It was also home to the Old Man of the Mountain, which was a collection of granite cliff ledges that resembled the profile view of a craggy old man when viewed at a certain angle. Unfortunately, the structure fell apart in 2003, nearly 200 years after it was first recorded. Yet, various other natural wonders exist in New Hampshire, making it a picturesque Northeastern home for nature lovers and those simply looking for an alternative to the loud hustle and bustle of crowded city life. New Hampshire is packed with brilliant attractions, such as skiing and other winter sports destinations, hiking and mountaineering hot spots, and cozy cottages for the perfect getaway.

As if the living in the Granite State weren’t already luxurious enough, there is also the added bonus of no sales or income tax. This is good news indeed for most everyday residents looking to get the most out of their paychecks. To become a registered nurse (RN) in New Hampshire, you must earn a diploma, associate, or bachelor’s degree from an approved nursing program. Afterwards, prospective nurses must also successfully complete the NCLEX-RN examination to gain a nursing license. The state is also part of the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), which allows for nurses licensed in New Hampshire to legally practice in other participating states. As of October 2009, 22 states are participating in the NLC. All RNs in the Granite State must also adhere to continuing education requirements in order to qualify for license renewals. These requirements include participating in at least 30 hours of workshops, conferences, lectures, and other nursing-focused education between each license renewal period.
